The City Of Nawabs, Lucknow is one of the most famous cities in India as well as the capital of the country's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as the city of gardens because the city is full of Dussehri Mango, which is liked all over the country as well as the world. It has been witness to many important events in the history of India. The history of this city is very old. It was also called Laxmanpur because Laxman Jii brother of Shree Ram (the deity of India), used to be the king of this city. There is a high mound in the old part of the city which is still called Laxman Tila. The historic monuments of this city has also been shown in many films.
Bada Imambra:-Bara Imambara is a monument where the Shia Muslims come to mourn in the month of Muharram. The monument has two levels of entrances, a large, courtyard, and many gardens. There are two magnificent entrances which are triple arched. The main building is constructed on a high platform and has three storeys
Chota Imambra:-The Chhota Imambara was initially a congregation hall for Shia Muslims that was built by Muhammad Ali Shah, who was the third Nawab of Awadh, in 1838. The Imambara was to serve as his own mausoleum as well as that of his mother, who is buried beside him in this prestigious monument..
Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Park:-The entire memorial is built using red sandstone brought from Rajasthan. It is situated in the posh locality of Gomti Nagar, the largest planned residential colony in India. Cost of the memorial is estimated at 7 billion rupees
